track inventory. POS can do variety of other functions
depending on what specific needs the business requires. It
captures data about orders at the point of sale and frequently
found in fast food chain stores, department stores, and grocery
chain stores. It also provides immediate updates to sale and
inventory systems and allows firms to monitor sales trends
minute by minute.
❑ The best thing about having a POS System in your retail
business is: as new stocks arrive and as it is sold, it keeps the
stock levels current and updated, hence making it easier to
identify which items are selling and which items are not. It is
also good in checking for any obsolete or out of date stock that
needs to be disposed. POS Systems have replaces traditional
cash registers, largely functionality reasons. They are also
