Session - 3
• Left-over of the last session

• Non-Verbal Communication
– Already so much has been ‘shown’ and shared!
• ‘Body Language shapes who you are’ : Video (S1 folder)
• ‘Non-Verbal Communication’ : Video (S1 folder)

– Yet, a formal session is well-deserved, because…

Every Communication is…

7% 38% 55%
Message
(Verbal Factors)
+ How you say it?
(Tone of Voice &
+ Accompanying
Non-Verbal
Modulation) (Visual Factors)
Why Non-Verbal Communication?
• Today’s session is important, because
– End of ‘General Communication’ skills introduction
– Start of ‘Business Communication’ skills introduction (ref.:
answers on ‘Course Expectations’)

• Frankly, Is 7% of Message not of greater importance than

55% of Non-Verbal?
– Yes, it is because ‘Content is King’
– Then why do we care to understand the other 55%?
• Because, as logically-wired humans, we actually care!

• Why did I cross-pollinate videos in different folders?

– Communication is a Compound, not a Mixture!
– Attention on all 3 aspects is important on all occasions

are

Power Posturing : new term & trend

• Take longer to respond and increase gravity in your voice
