4G GUIDELINE POWER SETTING

Based on guideline, rule power for LTE system are as below :

FDD  2Watt/1Mhz
TDD  1watt/1Mhz

4G max transmit power is the output from 3 basic power parameter :

1. Reference Signal : Cell reference signal power of each physical antenna
2. Pa : PDSCH EPRE(type A symbol (type A symbol, refers to symbol 1,2,3,5,6 in normalframe type, where in the symbols only PDSCH is carried))/Cell specific RS EPRE
3. Pb : PDSCH EPRE(type B symbol (type B symbol refers to symbol 0 & 4 in normal frame type, where in these symbols both PDSCH and RS are carried))/Cell specific RS EPR

From rule above, need to calculate how many power per resource element :
1. For TDD : Power per resource element will be equal to=1watt/(Count of prb per mhz)*(Count of subcarrier per PRB)= 0.016watt=12.2dBm
2. For FDD : Power per resource element will be equal to=2watt/(Count of prb per mhz)*(Count of subcarrier per PRB)= 0.033watt=15.2dBm

12.2dBm (TDD) & 15.2dBm (FDD) is the basic power per resource element if Pa and Pb have equal power value. Combination between Pa & Pb will be equal to 100% if the sett
like below:

From all conclusion, so we can make 4 combination for RS, Pa & Pb setting so that the total power will be equal to 100%.
