1.Rolling Bottle Method
Recently the present authors showed that
rolling-bottle-test is related to be the
most suitable testing method despite
disadvantages due to the mechanical
strain by the rolling process. Static water
storage brought no differentiation of
results and boiling water test gave not
accurate testing results (Renken et al.
2010).
Whereas, in the Lithuanian standard –
boiling water test method is used. The
aim of this research is to determine an
effective test method for bitumen and
aggregates adhesion properties.
5 types of aggregates
1.Granite
Granite is a common type of felsic intrusive igneous rock that is granular and
phaneritic in texture. Granites can be predominantly white, pink, or gray in
color, depending on their mineralogy.
2.Dolomite
Dolomite is an anhydrous carbonate mineral composed of calcium magnesium carbonate, ideally
CaMg(CO₃)₂. The term is also used for a sedimentary carbonate rock composed mostly of the
mineral dolomite. An alternative name sometimes used for the dolomitic rock type is dolostone.
3.Crushed gravel
