Rigid Harness System Approvals

Societies ABS BV DNV GL LR RINa

Rigid Harness PDA LOA TA TA DAD LOA

PDA – ABS has issued a Product Design Approval (can be found

on their website).
DAD – LR is currently in the process of issuing Caterpillar a
Design Appraisal Document (DAD) for the Rigid Harness.
LOA – BV and RINa have issued a Letter Of Acceptance stating
this type of wiring is “fit for purpose”.
TA – DNV and GL have approved the design and are in the
process of issuing formal Type Approvals for the harness design.
Draft copies are in-hand at this time.

Product Rigid Engine Wiring Harness System

Model 3500/3600 Engine Harness

Intended To be used as the harness system for the 3500 / 3600 series engines
Service

Description A rigid harness design for engine interconnect, consisting of a left and right
side, one piece Universal PMAVND IP66 straight connector. Conduit is
medium wall and very flexible.

Ratings Connectors are PMAFIX (VND), IP66 can be achieved, and is self-
extinguishing. PMA economy Conduit (CYL) is of flame class V2, also self-
extinguishing

Service Unit Certification is not required for this product.
