Introduction
India is agricultural based country and its 70%
population stay in rural area. The cooperatives which are the life
blood of the Indian economy and the mechanism for any
developmental programs. Especially in an agriculture dominated
rural sector, cooperative banks play a pivotal role in bolstering
the common individual and financing his business and personal
needs. The cooperative credit structure is serving the Indian
society since 1904 and since then it has seen several ups and
downs. Despite of several limitations such as restriction of area
of operations, limited clients, small volume of business, political
interference, this movement is standing since last 108 years and
serving the societies. Economy of the Rural area is mainly
dependent on agriculture as more than 80% of thetotal
population is engaged in this sector.
Objective

To Study the role of bank in rural area.


 To check out the financial stability of the bank.
 To study of the development rural bank.
 To study the various development schemes launch
by rural Development.
HYPOTHESIS

Government various scheme are helpful for rural


Development.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In This topic the methodology adopted for present


project report has been discussed.
The present study is descriptive in nature .The present
paper is primarily based on Secondary sources of data.
The information and data for the research has been
collected from government published
articles,newspapers, report books and official website.
Data Analysis
 The area of operation of the bank is extended over Pune District. Despite the
fact that there is stiff competition from the nationalized & urban co-op. banks,
which have fairly large network in the district, but the bank has maintained its
business share in the district and even at industry level. Since last 101 years the
bank is rendering remarkable services to its customers. As a Central Financing
Agency in the district, the District Central Co-op. Bank are the platform on
which, the co-operative societies in the district use to maintain there reserve
fund deposits and others, besides which the SLR investments in the form of
deposits are being kept with the DCC banks by the urban co-op.banks. The
DCC banks are representing the co-operative institutions in the district in
many ways, for urban co-operative banks the clearing sub-members facility is
being given by the DCC banks besides which the DCC banks are providing
loans to various on lending co-operative institutions. The DCC banks are the
backbone of the Agriculture Finance in the country. The Central Co-op.Banks
occupies a position of cardinal importance in the co-operative credit structure.
hey form an important link between the apex co-operative bank and the
primary agriculture credit societies. The success of the co-operative credit
movement largely depends on their financial strength .
Terms and Condition
 The aggregate of all withdrawals and transfers in a day
should not exceed Rs. 10,000/- .
 All banking transactions are chargeable at normal
charges as published from time-to-time.
 Any government charges, duties or taxes devolving
from the provision of any of the facilities shall, if
imposed upon the Bank (either directly or indirectly),
be debited from the customer's account.
WORKING CAPITAL
The working capital of the bank as on March, 2018 has
reached upto Rs. 11788.88 crore.
DEPOSIT
 The total deposits of the bank as on 31st March, 2018
was of Rs. 8676.92crore. The bank has taken vigorous
efforts to mobilize the deposits on a large scale. The
deregulation of rate of interest offered on the deposits
has created considerable competition in the market
inspite of it, the achievement is remarkable on the part
of the bank
INVESTMENT
 The total investments consisting of S.L.R. and Non-
S.L.R. investments have reached up to Rs.
5268.88crore.
LIMITATIONS

 Study is limited to concept of cooperative and rurle


Development.
 The information collected from respondents of
PUNE District only.
 The study is applicable to Pune district
Finding
 The bank should adopt the modern methods of banking like internet banking, kisan
credit card.

 The governments have played vital roles in socioeconomic development. Agriculture is


an important sector of the economy in Also the co-operative plays an important role
.
 The banks should plan to introduce new schemes for attracting new customers and
Satisfying the present ones.

 The bank should plan for expansion of branches.

 Improving the management skills and productivity in private, state and cooperative sugar
factories is necessary.
Suggestion
 Problem of the past cannot be studied by means of
observations.
 Having no other one has to depend on the documents
viable.
 Attitude cannot be studies with the help of costly.
Conclusions
Are the critical dimension of Pdcc bank and they are directly
relegated to overall service quality the factor that many delight
customers. Tend to be concerned more with the intangible
nature of the service, commitment, up to the data technology.
Modern equipments and neatly dressed up employees the study
the bring a bouts the ears which required urgent attention of the
employees the management and the govt. various scheme are
helpful for rural development of the industry.
