artwork is made from an assemblage of different
forms, thus creating a new whole. An artistic composition
made from scraps, junks,
paper, cloth and so on.

the invention of paper in China, around 200 BC

The term collage was coined by both Georges


Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the
20th century when collage became a distinctive part
of modern art

How to make a Collage?

"décollage"

Instead of an image being built up of


all or parts of existing images, it is "take-off" or "to
become unglued" or
created by cutting, tearing away or "to become unstuck"
otherwise removing, pieces of an
original image.
