Immanuel Kant
- Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher during
the Enlightenment era of the late 18th century.
- He was born on April 22, 1724, in Konigsberg,
Prussia. And his death was on February 12, 1804.
- He was the fourth of nine children born to Anna
Regina Reuter and Johann Georg Kant.
- Kant attended college at the University of
Königsberg, known as the Albertina year 1740-1746.
-After 6 years he became a private tutor to young
children.

The Categoral Imperative
• The first formulation of the categorical
imperative says: “Always act so that you
may also wish that the maxim of your
action become a universal law.”
• A second formulation of the categorical
imperative states: “Act in such a way
that you treat humanity, whether in
your own person or in that of another,
always at the same time as an end and
never merely as a means. ”
