INTRODUCTION
As the range of applications for solar energy increases, so does the
need for improved materials and methods used to harness this
power source. There are several factors that affect the efficiency of
the collection process like Dust, temperature etc.
Therefore, the most attainable method of improving the
performance of solar power collection is to increase the mean
intensity of radiation received from the source.
Our project includes design and implementation of micro controller
based dust cleaning system. The main aim of the project is provide
automatic dust cleaning mechanism for solar panel.

LITERATURE REVIEW
Various different methods are there for cleaning of panels like human
using brush, spraying of water. But with the use of such techniques we
are wasting water as well as we are investing huge amount in
cleaning.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Dust creates a layer on the surface of solar panel which stops sun light contact
with PV cells.
Due to dust on solar panels lose electricity production by 15 %to 30 % .
In previous works, main concentration was on rotation of panel towards sun.
Clearing the dust has complications of scratching the PV Cell surfaces.
Overall efficiency improvement was not achieved by on sun tracking.
Previously the dust clearing was manual mostly.

OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT
To clean the solar panel effectively.
To avoid the manual work.
To avoid dust associated problems on solar panels.

METHODOLOGY
The first frame is fixed. It is made of steel.
The second frame is movable frame. Moving
in horizontal direction.
The third frame is brush.
The above frames are controlled by Arduino
programming.
◦ Arduino is micro-controller device in which the
program is been dumped into it, and through the
help of this micro-controller the frame moves.

OUTCOMES
To improve overall solar panel efficiency.
Sometimes dust or other particles long time
placed on solar cells so it can damage the
aluminum strips of solar plate. So we avoid
this damage by the system.
By this system we make the life of this plate
longer than other plates.
Cost of production is low.
