Integration of Hardware (The Band) and Software (Mobile
Application). An automated device which doesn’t require physical contact to operate
To develop a reliable and easy to use device which
doesn’t compromise on safety features. OBJECTIVES
To create and develop a safety device for women in our society
To develop a reliable and easy to use device which doesn’t compromise on safety features. An automated device which doesn’t require physical contact to operate The product serves to boost the confidence of women providing them with all around safety. Proposed Solution Use temperature, pulse rate and body tremors as triggers to decide an alert situation of the victim The values received from all the three sensors will be checked according to clinically correlated threshold values(to certify a distress state of the user) The signal will be sent to a mobile application in the user’s phone The application on receiving the signal will ultimately send the user’s location with an alert message to the predefined contacts. Block Diagram Methodology
The three sensors - Pulse rate sensor(TCRT100),NTC thermistor,
Accelerometer(MPU 6050) are interfaced with Teensy 3.2 ARM cortex board and the values are evaluated at an interval of half a second. On satisfying the testing conditions the microcontroller sends an alert to the mobile phone using HC-05 BT module and starts the buzzer. A mobile phone application(Android studio) sends the current location of the user to the predefined contacts using SMS. Flowchart Results References 1.
