RICE
Rice crop has been planted at Brgy. Sabang and Gacat, Baybay City Leyte for 10-27 years already.
The planting materials are from the Department of Agriculture (DA), one of them is practicing
organic farming by using the rice hull to make use, and to save money. They need 1-20 workers
for their rice production, every first harvest they get about 25-50 sacks and the rice harvested
are most commonly placed in the house. In every harvest the total waste estimated are 5-10%
waste. The crop Is more likely go to waste when it isn’t dried properly, and not taken care of the
assigned worker. Sort and grade is applicable to this and both of them do this. Sacks is the best
used for packaging rice. They sell directly to neighbours and friends, delivery and transport is
not applicable to these farm owners . 50-100 sacks can be harvested annually if we keep
supporting the farmers. Yes, they do profit about 5,00 to 12.000 pesos, and the things insects,

overripe, and if the product is sent to their house they will immediately prolong the shelf life of
your crops sorting it is used to prolong shelf-life. They retail it and then the owners send them to
