Using In Fact

We use ‘However’ to give contrasting


information and we can use ‘in fact’ to introduce
a concrete example that supports an idea or
statement. Use a comma to separate ‘in fact’
from the rest of the sentence.
Rewriting Sentences with In Fact and
However
1. Raed has been working very hard. He works
from 8:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night.

Raed has been working very hard. In fact, he


works from 8:00 in the morning until 9:00 at
night.

5. Nada enjoys going to school. She doesn’t like

Nada enjoys going to school. However, she


doesn’t like going at night.
6. Nada has been exercising a lot. She now runs
about 30 miles a week.
