Short Summary:
Sepsis is a frequent fatal complication of pneumonia. The aim of this study was to find the correlation of quick SOFA
(qSOFA) score and serum lactate in pneumonia patient with sepsis. This is a descriptive retrospective study with the
cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was all pneumonia patient with sepsis .
Result: The bivariate analysis showed the correlation between qSOFA score and serum lactate levels (p<0.05).
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between qSOFA score and serum lactate in pneumonia patient with
sepsis.
BACKGROUND Patient with
Pneumonia
• The quickSOFA score is mortality predictor in critical patients.
• The Hour-1 bundle is recommended as the first reference for
qSOFA score
sepsis determination which is serum lactate > 2 mmol/L.
• The aim of this study was to find the correlation of qSOFA score and
serum lactate in pneumonia patient with sepsis. Sepsis
