company and instantly became successful.

Purpose of Whats App

The purpose of What’s App is an interactive

platform that allows people to talk and text
with the same features of a phone.
However, the application allows you to talk
and text international without being charged
international rates.

It also encrypted documents, photos and

text messages.

The Application has end to end encryption

which allows user to send and receive
messages, images and documents securely.

It also has a two part verification for the

user and only allows those that are
currently in your contact list added manually
by the user .

It also allows the user not to have to add

any personal information which is used in
most messenger applications.

Whatsapp allows you to pinpoint your live

location to people within your contacts and
even to a group of people.

This feature is good for showing people

where to meet up especially in a popular
location or in the event of an emergency

applications on the phone while responding
to messages in the app.

This is really helpful when you need to use

multiple applications in order to multitask on

the application the most. Also, internationally the application has gain attention for its
ability to use to talk, text and send information internationally without the charge. eMarkter
estimated that the application use increased 52% among the Hispanic population.

Why might you care about this application?

I think the importance and the popularity of the

application simply comes from people trying to
stay in contact with loved one without the
expensive international cost.

Another cool feature of the application is that

unlike text messages you have compress videos
however, this application allows you to send
videos without having to compress or cut out
videos in order to send them to people within
their contacts.

Why might we need to adopt What App

In my opinion, this application is used and downloaded as a matter of preference. I

believe that it got popular because people needed to get in contact with family
and friends and this is a safe application to do so.

Also, I think the security feature of the application allows people to use it with
ease and reliability of having secure conversations that give the user piece of
mind when using the application

Whats App-My Opinion

In 2017, I deployed to Ukraine upon arrival we were advised to use radios in our
prebriefing but, once we got in country the radios failed us. Immediate panic set in and
we decided to get “burner” phones in order to communicate. On those phones we
used Whats App as a means to our sole way of communicating our location, sending
documents and most importantly using it for calling and texting each other and our
love ones.

I have never used a more reliable application and in some instances saved some of our
lives. Whats App is more than an application it bridged a gap and allowed our mission
to continue.
