 Rupture of hoses or Use of damaged hoses
 Disconnection of hose couplings
 Interchange of hoses & couplings at the utility station

 Utility Hoses should be hydrostatically tested at 150% of the
recommended working pressure of hoses for 5 minis.
 Frequency of testing is once in 6 months
 Utility Hoses in units should be tested by respective
Supervisors. Testing should be carried out in the
Presence of CTR Supervisor.
 Proper Aluminum Tagging with punched holes should b
be provided for the hoses
 Damaged hoses should be cut in pieces so as to avoid
their use
 Prior to next due date for testing if the hose get damaged the
same should be replaced by CTR
 New hoses should be tested at CTR
 Tagging should specify Unit No., Service of the hose and Next
Due Date for Testing. The sample tag is as shown below
