Effect essay is an essay form which probes and analyzes into
the effects (consequences, effects and outcome) for a
particular event, happening, condition or behavior.

2. PURPOSE
The purpose of the effect essay is to express the writer ideas
academically to the readers about the results or effects of
something.

The Negative Effect of Mobile Phone

Mobile phone is one of the great inventions in 20th

century. This invention gives many advantages in our live, for
examples connecting us with other people, searching
information on internet, and many more. It also provides a lot
of applications that can entertain the user of it. The fact that
mobile phone gives us many advantages makes a lot of
people can’t imagine to live without it. Beside the advantages,
mobile phone also has many negative effects like it is
addictive, it makes us unable to manage our time, and our
health will be affected.
 I think mobile phone is addictive. Many people feel
unable to live if they do not hold their mobile phones for a
long time. Of all ages, from the young to the old now use cell
phones. Starting from waking up to sleep cell phones cannot
be far from us.
Mobile phone makes us unable to manage our time.
Because of mobile phones, we become more often relax and
procrastinate. It makes the users like to waste their time only
because of online activities, such as online game and social
media. That behaviour will turn us into a lazy person. Of
course that's a bad thing.
 Our health will be affected. Mobile phone can harm the
eyes. Eyes that are too often staring at the screen without a
break can make the eyes become weak or even minus. With
the most frequent signs of damage due to staring at the blue
light on a mobile phone is that watery eyes that will eventually
make the eyes become minus.
As the conclusion, the mobile phone has many advantages
that can make our life easy. But, we know that mobile phone
surrounded by some negative effects, such as mobile phones
are addictive, mobile phone makes us unable to manage our
time, and also our health will be in a danger (especially our
eyes) if we use mobile phone too often. You can avoid the
negative effects by using the phone with responsibility.
