Manufacturing Process
 Charge DEG,MEG,PG in reactor. Then Charge slowly Phthalic Anhydride and Maleic Anhydride
in proportional quantity in reactor. Now start heating slowly to get slight heating. Exothermic
reactions takes place and get temperature up to 1500 c to 1600 c.

 Then Start cooking process. It will take 4 to 5 hr. Finally to reach temperature at
2090 c .slowly.

 Then Starts vacuum at 2090 c to raise temp 210 0 c to 2300 c Keep vacuum runs maximum for 2
hr. for complete reaction.

 Than start cool the mass from 230 0 c to 190 0 c temp. by cooling water. Then add HQ at 1900 c
and transfer at 1500 c to mix styrene and wax slowly and cool the mass slowly at 300 c by
circulating cooling water. This is our liquid finished product

 The Flow chart of the same is given in the next slide.

 Few quantity of Waste water generated from process during vacuum process. i.e. 4 to 5 %.We will
be provide to collect the waste water in applied energy evaporation pan.

Waste Water Management System
 Few quantity of Waste water generated from process during vacuum process.

i.e. 4 to 5 %. The total 100 MT/Day product will be generated only

125 lits to 150 lits/day. We will be provide to collect the waste water in applied

energy evaporation pan and maintain zero discharge from process. There for

our unit will be zero discharge unit.

 Domestic Effluent will be discharged into Soak Pit through Septic Tank.

18
Air Pollution Management System
 The Major Source of Air Pollution will be Flue Gas Emission

 Flue Gas Emission:

 The unit will require Thermic Fluid Boiler for heating requirement of
proposed production. The Thermic Fluid Boiler capacity will be 1 lacs Kilo
Cal./ hr.

 The LDO will be used as fuel. The Flue Gas Emission will be well within
GPCB norms and there will not be any need of air pollution control system
for the proposed Thermic Fluid Unit. However we will be provide adequate
stack monitoring facility to measure flue gas emission.

Green Belt
 In order to mitigate the air pollutants and to attenuate the noise generated by the
plant and also to improve the ecology and aesthetics of the area, the unit has
proposed to develop a green belt on @ 110 sq. Mt. area on and around the plant
premises.

 Special care will be taken while planting trees, as regards their type and density.
Adequate nos. of trees of various types like Palm, Kadam, Asopalav, Champa,
Gulmohar, etc. will be planted within premises. The green belt and plantation will be
implemented by the company, helps in controlling air pollution particularly PM and
SO2.

 Special care shall be taken during plantation like tall trees shall be planted on outer
side while small trees or shrubs shall be planted shall be at inner side to form the
wind curtain.

 Green belt is designed to minimize the predicted level of possible air pollutants and to
minimize noise pollution.

Environmental Impact & Proposed
Mitigative Measures
 There will be no any type of Industrial Effluent Generation during
existing as well as proposed production. Hence our unit is Zero
Discharge Unit for proposed manufacturing process.

 Since LDO will be used as fuel, the Flue Gas Emission will be
well within gaseous emission norms recognized by GPCB.

 There is no any type of process emission during the existing &

proposed manufacturing process.

25
Safety Measures Provided
 The personnel protective equipment like hand gloves,
gumboot, goggles, helmet, clothing etc are provided to those
handling hazardous chemicals as per requirement

 All the motors and electric connections are flame proof and
flame proof equipments and fittings are provided for handling
of hazardous chemicals.

 Proper earthing is provided to each tank. Also earthing is taken

care during solvent transfer from tanker into the storage tank.

 Adequate ventilation arrangement has been provided for safe

and better working in the plant as per requirement.

 Fire extinguisher has been provided at prominent places.

Environmental Impact & Conclusion

 There will not be any major potential for negative impact on the environment due

to proposed project will be a non-polluting unit i.e. Air/Water and Hazardous

waste, on the contrary, there will be positive impact on the socio-economic

environment since proposed expansion will generate some permanent and

secondary employment and it will increase direct/indirect employment

opportunities. The increasing industrial activity will also boost up the commercial

and economical status of the locality.
