VSAT merupakan singkatan dari Very

Small Aperture terminal. VSAT adalah stasiun
penerima sinyal dari satelit dengan antena
penerima berbentuk piringan dengan
diameter antenna yg bervariasi, sesuai
dengan kebutuhan. Fungsi utama dari VSAT
adalah untuk menerima dan mengirim data
ke satelit.

Fungsi utama VSAT

adalah untuk menerima dan
mengirim data ke satelit. Satelit
berfungsi sebagai penerus sinyal
untuk dikirimkan ke titik lainnya di
atas bumi. Dimana piringan VSAT
tersebut menghadap ke sebuah
satelit di orbit GEO, MEO ataupun
LEO.

Orbit Geostationery
Jarak orbit GEO dengan bumi 36000 km Rumus kecepatan cahaya yg di
gunakan untuk menetukan latency bumi terhadap satelit.
Untuk frequency C-Band & Ku-Band berada pada orbit GEO sehingga
besaran latency total layanan latency VSAT adalah 500ms – 600ms.
Orbit MEO
Memiliki jarak 8000 – 20.000 km di atas permukaan bumi sehingga lebih
dekat dengan bumi dan total layanan latency untuk vsat orbit MEO
adalah 250ms – 300ms.
Orbit LEO
Memiliki jarak 500 – 2000 km di atas permukaan bumi sehingga lebih
dekat dengan bumi dan latency yg di hasilkan sekitar 20 – 40ms.

TDMA Teknik yang memungkinkan beberapa titik/stasiun untuk
digunakan pada saat waktu yang berbeda tetapi dengan
frekuensi yang sama.
Single Channel Per Carrier

Layanan telekomunikasi dengan menggunakan teknologi VSAT yang dapat
menyalurkan bandwidth secara dedicated (Point to Point). VSAT SCPC bersifat SCPC
dedicated dan clear chanel, sehingga mampu memberikan banyak layanan seperti
voice, video dan data. Hal ini karena VSAT SCPC mampu digunakan untuk aplikasi
yang real time, seperti: Voice dan Video Conference.

Indoor Unit (IDU)...
Modem (Modulator/Demodulator)
Berfungsi untuk mengubah 2 sinyal sehingga dalam
menerima dan mengirim pesan bisa berjalan baik. Kata
modem merupakan singkatan dari Modulator
Demodulator. Modulator berfungsi sebagai pengubah
sinyal informasi untuk dijadikan sinyal pembawa data yang
siap dikirimkan, sedang demodulator adalah bagian
yang memisahkan sinyal informasi dari sinyal pembawa
yang dapat diterima dengan baik.

VSAT INSTALLATION

Foundation for The Antenna…
Pondasi Antenna VSAT dibuat sesuai dengan kebutuhan, dimana sebelum

instalasi kita lihat dahulu jenis antenna VSAT yang akan kita pasang untuk
menentukan ukuran pondasi yang akan kita buat.

VSAT Installation Process…
Pembuatan Fondasi
Menggali Lubang pondasi sesuai dengan size antenna, disini
antenna yg di gunakan 1,2m kita gunakan kedalaman 1 meter
dan lebar 60x60 cm.
Tujuan di buat kedalaman 1 meter agar tahan terhadap gempa.
Lubang pondasi di beri Batu kali di setiap layer adukannya dan

juga besi cakar ayam.
Tujuanya agar pondasi kuat menahan beban antenna,

hembusan angin dan pergerakan tanah.

Instalasi Antenna
Pasang Batang angkur dengan cara mengikat nya pada
anyaman cakar ayam dan pastikan mal pondasinya
terpasang
Tujuan mal pondasi di pasang agar batang angkur tidak

bergeser sehingga menyulitkan proses instalasi dan
adjust pole ketika adukan cor sudah kering.
Pasang Pole Antena kedalam angkur dan lakukan adjust

pole menggunakan angel meter pada ke empat sisi
sisinya pastikan 90°.
Tujuan dilakukannya adjust pole agar antenna peak

tegak 90° dan memudahkan kita untuk mendapatkan
singnal pointing ke satelit dan memudahkan kita untuk
melakukan CPI.
Instalasi Antenna & CPI

Setelah di pastikan pole 90° kemudian pasang bagian
canester adjust kembali 90° pasang dish, support feedhorn
dan perangkat ODU lainnya.
Setelah semua perangkat terpasang,lakukan pointing

kasar sesuai dengan satellite yg di tuju dan pastikan juga
polarisasi dan juga parameter modem sudah di setup.
Setelah modem mendapatkan sinyal satelit dan

locked,pastikan maksimalkan kembali SNR nya kemudian
mintalah jadwal ke TOC untuk dilakukan CPI (Cross
Polarisation Isolation).
Tujuan memaksimalkan SNR agar ketika cuaca hujan

penurunan kualitas SNR tidak terlalu jauh dan masih
mampu menahan.
Sedangkan tujuan di lakukan CPI agar antenna peak dan
tidak menggangu interference freq satelit di sekitarnya.
