An arranged marriage is when parents look
for a prospective match for their son or
daughter usually from within their
community. It is based on considerations
other than pre-existing mutual attraction of
the partners therefore neither the bride or
groom usually have any say over the
selection of their future spouses. However,
in an arranged marriage, both parties give
full consent to the marriage taking place.
