Point Of View- Problem Statement

How might we create a willingness to adopt progressive methods of operations among the
Kirana/Variety store owners and shopkeepers?
IDEATION

• Brainwriting method was used to spark innovative ideas.

• Once the ideas were generated (by every member of the group),
Brainstorming was done to eliminate few ideas from the lot.

• Further, the ideas were clustered into different categories.

• The clusters formed from the ideas were:

1.Benefits and Success stories

2.Awareness
3.Inspiration Videos/Demo
4.Customer centric
5.Generating Fear
Before Clustering
IDEATION

• Benefits and Success stories: Success stories of those Kirana shop

owners who benefitted by adopting progressive methods of
operations.

• Awareness: Regarding changing times and customer demands.

• Inspiration Videos/Demo: Demo model displaying all the progressive

methods could be showcassed to motivate the owners.

• Customer-centric: Generating willingness by showing that customers

are attracted towards shops following progressive methods.

• Generating Fear: To make them realize that it is difficult to survive in

the market without adopting the progressive methods.

Cluster(Demo) was chosen for prototyping via voting among group

After Clustering
members keeping in mind the project's feasibility.
PROTOTYPE

1. We prototyped a mobile progressive service

provider
2. The truck had all the amenities provided in
a progressive Kirana store model
3. The truck facilitated a live experience to the
Kirana storekeepers
4. The truck consisted of :
• CCTV Cameras
• Bar code reader
• MIS
• Planned arrangements
• Pre-ordering system
• Online wallets
PROTOTYPE TESTING

1. We showcased the prototype to the mentors

2. Received feedbacks from the mentors

3. Showed a demo to the nearby Kirana store

4. Gathered the information regarding the

drawbacks of the model

5. Understood the sentiments of the storekeepers

which might stop them from trying the truck
model
