University library
-Library can be considered as the
center place of the university .
-It's a common place of the students .
Nowadays library ,in addition to
books , magazine ,newspaper , a
good connection for internet is also
required ,for students doing research
from the internet .
-And also the compute labs ,
computer areas .
-Simple and clear plan is important
for the library (work staff , student
area clearly defined ).
-Budget sometime is also a factor to
be considered in university library .
-Good ventilation and lighting are
important .
Renovation Building
Mui Ho Fine Arts Library
- The library at the Cornell University by
STV and Wolfgang Tschapeller ,Ithaca ,
New York .
-This library is a renovation of the Rand
hall.
From outside the design of the building
remains as original ,and change the
inside hall to a big open space .
-The completion of Rand Hall’s
renovation in August 2019 was the last
step in a series of reconfigurations within
the college of Architecture, Art, and
Planning (AAP) prompted by the
construction of Milstein.
Inner
design
The inner stacks area is built of
steel structuer with 3 level high
.
This make sure the natuer light
to have more space and the
stacks appear like an art , a
glamorous warehouse .

Interior design
Inside the building ,the book
shelves ,reading areas are all
visible as enter the library.
The use of the floor structure
and shelves structure are all
design for good lighting and
ventilation ,so the light from
outside go through the building
easily .
