IF THE STATE WAS REINVENTING CULTURE, THE ARCHITECT HAD TO REINVENT ARCHITECTURE.
CULTURAL ASPECT
We assemble all storage in one colossal socle. in that
podium, we put circulation (more than four kilometers).

STRATEGY
We took the program; and exca-
vated several elements, creating
a shape representing the storage
and a second shape representing
the public elements of the libraries.
...the single image created by su-
perimposing all of the data. This
represented the coexistence of all
these elements in a single building.

CONCEPT
ABSENCE FLOATING IN MEMORY.
The library is imagined as a solid
block of information from which voids
are carved to create public spaces.

What is the library today?
How do we connect?
What will make us
explore a new place
& interact?
Those are only some of the questions that
came up before starting the analysis. The
fact is - library has changed and now it
has to serve and gather people. The con-
cept was derived from a series of view-
ports and impressions taken around the
neighborhood. The connection of the
neighborhood to the city was evident.
I explored different views and sketched
them. The spatial conditions of the view-
port in sketches were translated into col-
lages, which later became a 3D model.
These products of the analasys became
main diagrams and helped the creation
of the concept and design. The Green-

different kinds of perspectives and views.
