Introduction

 Godavari Drugs Ltd. Was established as the Private Limited Company in

the year 1987.The Company manufacture API (Active Pharmaceutical
Ingredients) Drugs in India and put its first plant to manufacture Bulk
Drugs at Nanded in Maharashtra State, India.. The Company is capable of
catering to the quality standards and requirement of Global Life science
Industry
 The product they are manufacturing
1. Ciprofloxacin HCL
2. Enrofloxacin
3. Carbmazepine

Demineralization Of Water

 What is water demineralization?

 How does deminaralization work?
 How demineralized water beneficial for your plant?
Steam Generators
 Boilers is used for generation of steam known as steam
generators
 There are two types of boilers
1. Fire tube boiler
2. Water tube boiler
Cooling Tower
 Cooling tower are heat removal devices used to
transfer process waste heat to the atmosphere
 There are two types of cooling tower
1. Natural Draft Cooling Tower
2. Mechanical Draft Cooling Tower
Unit Operations
 Fluidised bed dryer
 Tray dryer
 Centrifuge
 Plate filter press
 Leaf filter
 Drum flaker
 Distillation column
 Multipal effect evaporator
 Steam jet ejector
Fluidised Bed Dryer
Principal:

A typical fluidized bed dryer consists of the following components

 Air preparatory unit.
 Product container.
 Exhaust filter.
 Exhaust blower.
 Control panel.
 Air distribution plate.
 Spray nozzle.
 Solution deliver.
Tray Dryer
Tray Dryer Working Principle:
 In tray dryer hot air is continuously circulated. Forced
convection heating takes place to remove moister from the
solids placed in trays.
Centrifuge
Working Principle:
The centrifuge works using the sedimentation principle,
where the centrifugal acceleration causes denser substances
and particles to move outward in the radial direction.
Types of industrial centrifuge:
 There are two main types of industrial centrifuges: sedimentation
centrifuges and filter centrifuges. In the sedimentation centrifuge
the higher density particles are forced to the outer edges of the
container where they force a closely packed pellet. In filter
centrifuges there is a filter which catches particles and prevents
them from following the rest of the mixture outward as the
centrifuge spins.
 examples of filter centrifugation in the food industry inclued the
production of pulp-free orange juice and the removal of water from
washed salads prior to packaging.
Plate Filter Press
 Principal: Generally, the slurry that will be separated is injected into
the center of the press and each chamber of the press is filled.Optimal
filling time will ensure the last chamber of the press is loaded before
the mud in the first chamber begins to cake. As the chambers fill,
pressure inside the system will increase due to the formation of thick
sludge. Then, the liquid is strained through filter cloths by force using
pressurized air, but the use of water could be more cost-efficient in
certain cases, such as if water was re-used from a previous process.
Steam Jet Ejector
 Principal:
Valves
A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the
flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by
opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways.
In an open valve, fluid flows in a direction from higher
pressure to lower pressure.
