What is Diarrhea?

Diarrhea is the condition of having at least three

day. It often lasts for a few days and can cause
dehydration due to fluid loss.
What causes diarrhea?

Ingestion of contaminated water and


food.
Harmful bacteria ingested due to unclean
hands.
Little water is absorbed in the large
intestine.
Expelling more water in the excretion.
Prevention

Wash hands before eating.


Make sure that the food you eat is
clean.
Symptoms/detection

Excessive frequency and looseness bowel


movement.
Painful stomach
Dehydration
Vomiting
fever
Treatment

Drink a lot of water.


Take anti-diarrheal medication.
See a doctor.

Constipation
What is Constipation?

A condition which there is difficulty in


emptying the bowels, usually associated
with hardened feces.
What causes Constipation?

Lack of water.
Lack of fiber.
Prevention

Drink a lot of water.


Eat foods that are rich in fiber (Fruits
and Vegetables)
Symptoms/Detection

Infrequent and difficult elimination of


hard feces.
Painful stomach
Treatment

Use a suppository.
Drink a lot of water.
Eat foods rich in fiber.
