 Introduction
Anantha padmanabha swami temple is located inside the
East fort in Tirvanathapurm,the capital city of state of
Kerala in India.This temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu.
This temple is a blend of Kerala and Dravidian styles and
Hence it is believed to be the world’s richest temple and
it is one of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples.
The name Anantha padmanabha swami means the Vishnu

 HISTORY

It was said that once upon a time there was a farmer’s family
Living in a forest. One day they came across a little child who
was crying. They took that little boy fed him and let him to sleep.
After sometime they saw that a hooded serpent was protecting
Boy. The couple thought that he was looking like Maha Vishnu.
They took that boy to their home where a Muni whose name is
“Bilvamangaludu” was doing his mediations. Little boy wants to
stay with the Muni but on one condition that though he do lot of
Childish things ,the boy won’t get scolded by Muni. Muni agreed
to the boys words, but he cannot tolerate with the boy’s activities,
beat him. The boy ran into forest Anantha.
Bilvamangadha searched for the boy and finally finds him in a
mango tree as Maha Vishnu. From that time muni started praying
the Maha Vishnu who is in the form of Wooden idol. This wooden
Idol will looks like Lord Maha Vishnu was sleeping on Anantha
and named as “Anantha Padmanabha Swami”.
But in 1686 a big fire accident took place. At that time the wooden
Idol got damaged. Then Cochin tiravankur king Marthandavarma
Removed the damaged idol to “Balalayya” and reconstructed the
Garbhagruha,and also reconstructed the Lord Vishnu Idol with a
12,008 Holy and sacred Salagramas. He brought those salagramas
from all over the country and made the swami’s idol by sticking each
Salagrama with gum of burning pattika bellam.
After fixing 12008 salagramas the Anantha Padmanabha swami
Idol was like this as mentioned in the above image.
 Mystery of doors
It was been discovered that five of the substerrean vaults
among six were opened on 27th June. These vaults were
Opened on the supreme court orders. The vaults named as
A,B,C,D,E,F. Among them A,C,D,E,F were opened. Vault B
was the mysterious door which was not opened. The door was
Bounded with matras of Naga bandha. Correct spell of mantra
Was the only way to open the door which was not possible.
Hence court ordered not to open the door. The survey says
that approximately 150 lakhs of crores was found in the five
Vaults ,made padmanaabha swami temple as one of the
richest temple in the country

 conclusion

The whole wealth which is discovered from the Nelamaligas

are secured and protected by 200 security officers. This wealth
will belongs to only Lord Ananthaa Padmanabha swami, but
not for any government or any king’s dynasty or any pupil,
Which is said by authority of temple.
