Goal: There is a deceased prevalence of hypertension among the middle
aged group (40-60 years old) among the barangay BF International, CAA, Las
Piñas City.

Narrative Discussion of the Community Health Planning Content:

I. Specific/Component Objective
In order to decrease the high prevalence of hypertension among the people at
barangay BF International, CAA, Las Pinas City. These are, in particular are of the middle
ages (Ages 40- 60). We have a set of Component Objectives that would aid in our program;
People are now leading an active lifestyle, as much as possible it is best to be physically
active despite the busy schedule at least 2x a week or every other day if you have free
time; The practice of a healthy lifestyle ( healthy diet, and removal of unhealthy vices)
consumption of fruits and vegetables, and that there are harmful effects to your body
when you reach for that bottle of alcohol or cigarette pack; Lastly, Hypertension may be
hereditary, now we can’t really change the DNA structure of the people as it is highly
impossible and illegal, but what we can do is at least give emphasizes that it is important to
be aware and to get your blood pressure checked be it at the nearest health facility or at
home , and to do all of the things mentioned above.
II. Output
By the end of the health intervention program residents of Barangay BF
International CAA-B, will gain knowledge on how to execute proper exercise and they will
be able to know about different exercise that can be execute at home. The residents will
know how to balance their diet without spending too much. To help them gain knowledge
about the effects of daily alcohol consumption and smoking more than 1 pack a day that
can be a factor leading to hypertension. And the residents will be able to know that their
chances of having hypertension increases if their family has a history of it.
III. Activities
The activities and topics that will be provided to the participants will be;
teaching them about the proper intensifying frequency and division of exercise and
encouraging them to incorporate exercise in their lives. A talk about proper diet,
alternatives that are affordable and the right amount of rice they should eat every day.
Information regarding the effects of daily alcohol consumption and smoking more than 1
pack a day that can be a factor leading to hypertension. To inform the residents that their
chances of having hypertension increases if their family has a history of it. All of this will be
a great help to combat hypertension.
• IV. Target Group
The target group who will be the participants of the intervention will be the
residents of Barangay BF International, CAA-B, Las Piñas City with the age of 40-60 years
old, people who have potential hypertension. People who participated in the survey
conducted on (February 9, 2020) will be prioritized in the intervention program.
