 TOPIC: AWARENESS ON EARTHQUAKE

The concerns for disasters are increasingly relevant globally in

this contemporary world. Any disasters which can be manmade
and natural are inevitable. Thus, it is imperative to have
background knowledge to cope up with its diverse effects. One of
the unexpected risks that can occur is an earthquake wherein it
releases energy in the earth’s crust. Given the fact that the
Philippines were part of the Pacific ring of fire, one of the fault
lines here in Batangas was located in Peninsula.
 In accordance with, San Roque is widely known for having frail
infrastructure. Since, there are recent cases of earthquake that
occurred at Mindanao province, specifically at Cotobato City and
other parts of Mindanao. Therefore it is timely to raise awareness
and preparedness to this unpredictable natural phenomenon.

ACTION PLAN:

• The group will cooperate with the Barangay officials of San Roque, Sto.
Tomas, Batanagas to the proposed seminar about the awareness on
earthquake.
• The group will coordinate with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction
Management Council in assessing the stability of the infrastructures of
the community.
• The group will disseminate basic emergency kit (whistles and
flashlights).
 TOPIC: CYCLISTS ACCIDENTS

Balete, Batangas is known as one of the main tourist

desti nati ons here in our province given the fact that it
has cycling trails. Riding a bike is healthy, fun and low-
impact form of exercise for all ages. Balete, Batangas is a
place for bikers as it is known to be a great practi ce for
competi ti ve bikers for Balete’s challenging trails both
uphill and downhill. As you might expect, when a crash
occurs between a vehicle and a bike, it’s the cyclist who
is most likely to be injured.

aid kits to all the cyclists.

routes in Balete's trails.
 TOPIC: TO LESSEN “TAMBAYS” OR STANDBY
TITLE: TRANING AWARENESS TO MIVATE AND BE
PART OF AMAZING YOUTH

Our group aim to address the issues regarding security on our
local community but also to empower youth to believe in theirselves
and also to be producti ve.
In San Roque, Sto. Tomas, most of the youths are engage with
unnecessary things like using of vices that result to chaos. We
acknowledge them as “tambay ” or “istambay ” which is derived from
the English word standby (could literally mean a person or a thing
readily available; or be present without acti on- according to Encarta
dicti onary).
 We want to lessen the “tambay” in San Roque, Sto. Tomas,
Batangas and make them productive by giving them task that will
acknowledge their presence. The organization of Sangguniang
Kabataan (SK) will choose from the “tambay” that will undergo the
training of self defense, interactively they will be the peace
officers of the community that will promote safeness of San
Roque.
