GERUNDS AND INFINITIVES

Gerunds and infinitives come from verb forms but function
as nouns.
 A Gerund or an infinitive can be a direct object of a verb.
A. Gerund = an –ing form of a verb
Example: She enjoys painting.

B. Infinitive = to + a base form


Example: He wants to paint the kitchen
