Background

• H&H which is a public limited marketing company became a subsidiary


of R. T. Corporation.
• Mr. X appointed as GM by R. T. Corporation when he was a Senior
Executive of H&H.
• Mr. X died at office rest house when Mr. Y was also staying and after his
death Mr. Y appointed as GM of R. T. Corporation.
• Mr. Y had marketing background and capable but he was a Senior
Executive from R. T. Corporation.
• The union protest and assault mister why to set at office and told that
he is responsible for death of Mr. X.
• They were not ready to see any outsiders as their companies GM.
Introduction
Industrial Relation is the key to organization success and it develop the level of
trust among employees which will help them to work with integrity and
honesty.
Given case study; clearly indicates how two different management employees
trust level differ and how they react in crisis situation.

Objective

Purpose of the CASE STUDY is to find out


“Probable problems between the company H&H and RT Corporation”
and
“Appropriate course of action that need to take to overcome the situation”.
Q1: Why is the company facing the problem that now confronts it?

• No corporate integration found.


• Workers seem to think themselves outsiders of R.T. Corporation.
• May be, lack of communication between two companies executives.
• Lack of intercommunication between H&H union and R.T.’s top
executives.
• Union leaders also dominates the workers opinion.
• Inquiry team was trying to serve one side.
Q2: Appropriate course of action..

• A general meeting can be called by R.T. with Union.


(Till the chance of proper integration & investigation).
• Clarify the role of R.T. to the H&H and their workers & Union.
• Proper investigation need to be made on the basis of the thinking of H&H
worker’s thinking about Mr. X’s death.
• Clarify the values of H&H’s Union to R.T Corporation.
• Clarify the role of union in this kind of situation.
• Finally can make vote for selecting the GM.
Conclusion

It was a great learning with the case study of “H & H (BANGLADESH) LTD.
Relation of mother company with substitute company should handle with
trust and effective communication.
Workers and unions grievance can play a significant negative impact on
organization image.
Organization overall success depends on the trust level between
management and employees/workers for better work environment/culture
and better productivity.
