• Manjula pradeep is a Buddhist- Ambedkarite human rights


activist in india. Who has been actively working on
empowering dalits and sc/st/ Muslim women in India.
fighting for rights, justice and self respect and
constitutional rights.
• She is from Vododara, Gujarat, India.
• She was born in October 9, 1969.
• Ms Pradeep has a master’s degree in social work from
M.S. University, Vadodara.
• and also a bachelor degree in law from Gujarat University.
• Manjula Pradeep was the second daughter born to an
orthodox Dalit family in Vadodara. As her father
expected a son, her birth was not welcome in the family.
• Quote- “I am proud that I am a woman. In my
community when a girl is born, people feel
uncomfortable. I have made a mark in such a society;
have awakened those women who were reluctant to
voice their opinions. Now they fight injustice.”
• “I am a strong believer of equality for all regardless of
caste, class, color, religion, gender or ethnicity”
• Pradeep is such a personality who dedicated her life to
Ambedkar- pulley mission and A human rights activist
with a passion and commitment to end any kind of
discrimination or violence.
• Ms Pradeep has been involved in human rights work
for the past three decades and is one of the foremost
women leaders of the Dalit movement.
• Manjula Pradeep is the former Executive Director of
Navsarjan Trust, one of the largest Dalit rights
organizations.
• And also she is the Director of Campaigns at Dalit
Human Rights Defenders Network

I just can’t see someone being killed, raped, flogged and lynched
I just can’t see friends becoming enemies 
I just can’t see trust turning to mistrust 
I just can’t see millions of people getting displaced 
I just can’t see I just can’t see I just can’t 

I want a new world, I want peace, I want to live a life full of humanity!!
AWARD
• In 2011, she was selected as a woman
peacemaker by Joan B. Kroc Institute for
Peace and Justice, University of San Diego.
• In 2015, she was awarded the femina women
2015 social impact award.
• In 2017 she got “jijabai women achiever
award ” by university of delhi.
CONCLUSION
• Coming out from a Dalits community and
becoming a human rights activist, it really a great
contribution done by Pradeep.
• Democracy without women there is no
democracy. As a ledear she always trying to
create a safe space for women to be part of this
democracy and human rights so that the
community can enjoy the true liberty, equality
and justice from the Brahminical hegemony.
