MODERN TECHNIQUES OF

ENERGY CONSERVATION

Presented by
Ankush vinayak
What is energy conservation
Energy conservation is the effort
made to reduce the consumption of
energy by using less of an energy
service. This can be achieved either by
using energy more efficiently (using
less energy for a constant service) or
by reducing the amount of service
used.
CONSERVATION OF SOLAR ENERGY

1. Solar power plant

2. Solar cooker
A solar cooker uses the energy of the sun to cook food. An
essential part of a solar cooker is a reflector. This is a shiny
surface that reflects and concentrates the sun’s energy.
There are many possible shapes, but most use a bowl shape.
3. Solar refrigerator
CONSERVATION OF HYDRO ENERGY
Hydro energy is generally generated from running
water using various mechanical methods.
CONSERVATION OF WIND ENERGY
Wind energy generated by wind turbines
is mainly used to generate electricity.
CONSERVATION OF ELECTRICITY
Always switch off lights when they are
not in use.
Use LED bulb instead of normal bulbs.
Use translucent sheet instead of more
lights in rooms.
Use timer switches.
Clean fans regularly because
illumination level falls by 20-30 % due to
collection of dust.
Use air compressors.
Use CFL lights.
Use dish washers when they
are full of utensils.
