Troubleshooting
 Ping Test to Router & RNC

© Ericsson AB 2009 34 2010-11-10

Troubleshooting
 NTP Server Reachability Fault
This alarm appear cause ipsyncref down (disable)
 Troubleshoot node B & transport (vlan id traffic/oam)

 DownLinkBaseBandPool_DlHwLessThanDlCapacity
This alarm appear cause The Downlink (DL) BB pool capacity available for Dedicated Channels (DCH) and
measured in Channel Elements (CE), is lower than the capacity defined by the license key file for the
feature RBS Channel Elements Downlink
 Increasing the DL Capacity of TX Boards by adding TX-Board or replace with higher capacity new TX-Board

© Ericsson AB 2009 35 2010-11-10

Troubleshooting
 NodeBFunction_DlHwUsageExceedsDlLicenseLevel
This alarm appear cause the licensed Channel Element (CE) level is reached in the RBS.
 Analyzing the Alarm,if capacity need to be increase then order new lkf
 Ordering a new license key file
 Installing a new license key file

 Emergency Unlock of Software Licensing

The alarm is issued when someone activates the Emergency state. The purpose of this Emergency state is to
free the software of all license restrictions in an emergency situation, so that the capacity of the node is
maximized.
 Install new License Key File (LKF) containing an Emergency unlock reset key

© Ericsson AB 2009 36 2010-11-10

Troubleshooting
 EthernetSwitchPort Fault
The alarm is issued if the Ethernet Switch detects a "port fault" condition. The operational state of the port is changed to DISABLED.
 Analyze transport status
 Delete-create port
 Restarting board
 Replace board

 GammaDownlink/UplinkFailure
The alarm indicates a failure in one or more if the units in the gamma downlink/uplink path (Digital cable, TX/RX, RUIF, RU)
 Analyzing the Alarm, Checking the Digital Cable
 Restarting the TX/RX Board -> Replacing a TX Board
 Restarting the RUIF -> Replacing a RUIF Board
 Performing a HW Test of the RU Board

Troubleshooting
 maxNumHsPdschCodesExceedsLicensedLimit
The alarm is issued if The attribute RbsLocalCell::maxNumHsdpaUsers is set higher than the licensed limit.
 Installing a new license key file
 Changing capacity attributes

 MaxNumHsdpaUsersExceedsLicensedLimit
The alarm is issued if The attribute RbsLocalCell::maxNumHsdpaUsers is set higher than the licensed limit.
 Installing a new license key file
 Changing capacity attributes
