STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS & DESIGN

INTRODUCTION

SEMESTER 1:
Analysis of Statically Indeterminate
Structures

SEMESTER 2:
Design of Structures to Eurocodes
SEMESTER 1
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
In Civil 1 & 2 you analysed statically
determinate structures. In this module
you will study the analysis of statically
indeterminate structures using 4
methods:
1. Slope / Deflection
2. Theorem of 3 Moments
3. Strain Energy
4. Moment Distribution
SEMESTER 2
STRUCTURAL DESIGN
EUROCODES

• LOADS & ACTIONS to EC0/EC1

• PRESTRESSED CONCRETE to EC2
• REINFORCED CONCRETE to EC2/EC7
• STRUCTURAL STEEL to EC3
• TIMBER to EC5
• MASONRY to EC6
