Introduction to our product
 Our product is a new kind of bottle that aims to help people get the
last few bits of sauce out of the bottle.
 The current method is to keep tapping on the bottom of the bottle,
which leaves many bits of sauce behind on the bottom.
 We find this ineffective and this invention is trying to solve this
problem by coming up with a more easy and effective way to get all
the sauce out of the bottle.

The Whacking Method VS
Introduction to our product
 Roughly one third of the food produced in the world for
human consumption every year — approximately 1.3
billion tonnes — gets lost or wasted. (UNEP, food waste
facts) This may be due to people throwing away the bottle
without fully using its contents.
 We hope that our invention can successfully remove all
the sauce from the bottle to address and solve this
problem and prevent further wastage of sauces and
money.
Our prototype:
 Pump to compress and push air upwards
 Air rises up to rubber disk
 The compressed air pushes the rubber disk upwards
 Rubber disk with tomato sauce moves upwards to the top
 Tomato sauce is dispense through the tip in the cap

Parts:
 Cap
 Bottle
 Rubber disk
 Pump
 Tip
 Shampoo cap attached to pump
Our product:
 Below is a demonstration of our current product. We have used tomato sauce as the example
for the viscous liquid.
 We are planning for the product to cost approximately US$1.58 , which is roughly 70-
80cents more than existing sauce bottle products.
 The rubber disk is easily obtainable from convenient stores such as Daiso etc.
 The shampoo caps can be obtained from used shampoo bottles.
 The pump can be obtained from hardware stores or kid’s toys.
 The bottle can be obtained from stores such as Popular, or
 The tip can be obtained from
 The cap can be obtained from
Competition
 Currently, we have a competitor with our product called
LiquidGlide.
 It uses a special kind of liquid developed by the scientists
to be applied to the interior of the bottle. It acts as a
lubricant to reduce friction, allowing the sauce in the
bottle to slide out much more easily. (LiquidGlide.org/ our
technology)
 The liquid used is does not cause any harm to humans, and
it is also non-sticky.
Inspiration for Product

Our group leader, Nicholas, was at his grandmother’s house

eating fried rice and when he wanted some tomato sauce to
go with his meal, he found that it was very difficult to get
the last bits of sauce of sauce out of the bottle(the bottle
had only very little sauce left). Thus, he decided to come up
with a solution to this problem.

Comparison of our product and
Liquidglide
 Liquidglide:  Our product:
1. Easy to use 1. Cheap
2. Effective 2. Easy to operate
3. Seems disgusting and 3. Effective
unappetizing
4. Makes use of everyday
4. Too much sauce may come out products, hence easy to
5. Cost-effective manufacture.
6. Permeable to gasses (phys.org) 5. Prototype is not stable, may
7. Difficult to mass manufacture to fall over.
meet demands 6. Easy to control the amount of
sauce that may come out.
7. There is a demand for it.
In the final product…

 We will try to make the bottle more stable to ensure

that it does not fall over.
 We will also try to make the bottle smaller in size so
that it is easier to use and not so bulky.
 We will try to ensure that it is still cost-effective.
 We would try to make further improvements to the
prototype to make it compatible to the current
standards.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we think that our product will do well as
it:
 Cost effective
 Easy to use
 Can compare to products from big companies like
Liquiglide
 Can be easily made
 Accepted by the public
Invention Log:
 29th May 2015: Began planning
blueprint for prototype and
discussed materials which
would be used and how the
prototype would be like.
 June Holidays: Prototype is
made and survey is carried out.
 5th July 2015: Discussed how to
improve prototype to meet the
people’s needs based on survey
results and consulted our
mentor, Mr Chan.
Thank you for you kind
attention!!
