The Iris

What is
The Iris?
What it is:
● The Iris is a self-identification system that detects unauthorized firearms upon passing
the radius of the scanner.

How does it work?

● The scanner is placed in several regions of an area, giving the scanner a radius.
● Within the radius the scanner detects chips implanted within the weaponry to alert the
authority.
● Once the chip is activated a safety mechanism is magnetically enacted through coding
within the chip forcing the safety switch to remain locked.

● We have created this product in hopes of decreasing the statistics of mass shootings

Why?
● It is no secret that the number of mass shootings in 2019 has had more mass shootings
than any year previous.
○ As of Dec. 1st, the 335th day of the year there has been 385 mass shootings in the US.

● In order for our company to reach its full potential we need to be able to distribute and
manufacture our product in a controlled environment.

● The technology needed to produce this type of device has already been discovered, so
we have taken it upon ourselves to make prototypes of our idea.
● We have been able to make multiple scanners as well as chips with our budget
○ Our startup cost was roughly $500,000

How will we finance?

● By having our product idea passed by the state of CA we have been given access to
implant chips in all manufactured weapons, excluding weaponry sold to first responders
as well as military personal.

Market Price
● We will be selling scanners for $250,000

20% equity.
