1. Most of the items were sold in December followed by January. But quantity sold in January
is lower than that of the quantity sold in December.
2. Quantity of items sold gradually increased from June till August and then decreased (this
might be due to the vacation).
3. We can see that TOBACCO contributes the most to the sales even if the quantity sold is
not the highest followed by FOOD.
4. Quantity of FOOD sold is the highest followed by BEVERAGE.
5. We can clearly see that TOBACCO, FOOD and BEVERAGE are the major contributors to
sales across all the months.

1.We can clearly see that Quantity sold and total sales in December is highest across all the
categories.
2.From February till June, sales of all the categories are low.
3.Sales went up in July across all the categories.
4.Sales went up in August compared to that of July across few categories (FOOD, BEVERAGE and
TOBACCO).
5.We can clearly see a trend across all the categories (sales are highest in December and there’s a
dip in the sales after December. Sales across categories increased in December compared to
November across all categories.
6.On observing the sales data (Monthly per day basis) it is found that Great Café sales went high on 31 st
December 2010 represented by topmost dot and several others are present.
Recommendations
• Sales start at around 9 am in
the morning and peak hours
are 7 to 8 PM in the evening.
• We can observe a increasing
trend from 12PM on a daily
basis. We can call as Surge
time from 12PM which
extends till 8PM.
• Most of the customers are
buying items from Food,
Beverages and Tobacco
between 12PM to 5PM. Later
few customers are buying
Liquor in the evening times.
• There is a dip in business at
9pm in the night being dinner
time. This slot also be
converted into good business
