• They will absorb great amount of cash if the market share remains
unchanged (low)
• Question marks have potential to become star & evenly cash cow
but can also become dog.
• Investment should be high for question marks.

• Invest in them depending on the prospects, but sell them off if they
do not start yielding profits.
• Applying the matrix principles, all business units start off as question
marks, then become stars and cows, and finally end their life cycles
as dogs.
• Market Growth is used as a measure of a
market’s attractiveness.
