DEFORESTATION

Deforestation is the permanent


destruction of forests in order to make
the land available for other uses.

Is a sudden flood of great


volume, usually caused by heavy
rain.
ILLEGAL MINING

Is mining activity that is undertaken without


state permission, in particular in absence of land
rights, mining licenses, and exploration or
mineral transportation permits.
SOIL EROSION

Happens when soil and rock are


moved from one place to
another by wind, water, and
gravity.
CORAL REEF
DEGRADATION

Is a significant problem throughout the world. It has


been acknowledged that 27% of the world’s reefs have
been affected. (Gardener, 2003)

environment of a substance or thing that has
harmful or poisonous effects.
AIR POLLUTION

Is when unwanted chemicals, gasses, and


particles enter the air and the atmosphere
causing harm to animals and damaging
the natural cycles of the Earth.

Noise pollution, also known as pollution of
sound environmental noise or sound pollution,
is the propagation of noise with harmful impact
on the activity of human or animal life. The
source of outdoor noise worldwide is mainly
caused by machines, transport and
propagation systems.
LAND POLLUTION

Soil contamination or soil pollution as part of land


degradation is caused by the presence of xenobiotics
(human-made) chemicals or other alteration in the
natural soil environment. It is typically caused by
industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper
disposal of waste.
