Introduction
 Architecture can be an inspiration for hat design. It may seem a little
surprising to use an architectural building as an inspiration for hat
design, but all examples of architecture, whether traditional or
contemporary, can cause a creative spark to the designer. Whether it
is in the overall theme of a building or just a detail, useful ideas in
the architecture can be found as inspiration to create Architecture and
hats may seem far from each other;. However, both forms are three
dimensional and contain space; both are structured; both are related
to fine arts and visual.
Introduction
 Politics, society, culture and environments induce directions in both
architectural and fashion design, and when studying a country‘s
history, it is very important to study the architecture and garments of
that particular period, because a lot of stories can be told out of these
two subjects. ,The relationship between hats and buildings can be
traced Centuries back , the inspiration Appear in the crowns of kings
and queens and at the top of columns.

Shape and form

A shape is a self contained defined area of geometric or organic
form. A positive shape in a painting automatically creates a
negative shape.

Hat", since it was
inspired by Frank
Lloyd Wright's design
for the Guggenheim
Museum in New York.

structure of the hats.

designed this hat with the similar shape
of The Dancing House(located

Prague in Czech ) which designed by
him also.
Frank Gehry said
“I often find that the most inspired millinery creations are born of a multi-
discinplinary approach to design and technique. I find especially
intriquing/relevant the connection between architecture and millinery. The first
challenge of millinery is to make something that will stay in place on the head. It
truly takes an engineering mind to meld imaginative design with the practical
function of headwear. I've often wondered what kind of a hat an architect would
design and last week I found out”.
This hat which designed by Givenchyis looked like by coincidence

Texture
Tactile texture can be felt, whereas visual texture is about creating mood and feeling
on a two-dimensional surface. It can be created by putting patterns of a particular
texture on the surface, but that texture cannot be actually felt when touching it

pattern
A repeated form or design especially that is used to decorate
something or something designed or used as a model for making
things. In TOGAF, patterns are considered to be a way of putting
building blocks into context; for example, to describe a re-usable
solution to a problem. Building blocks are what you use: patterns
can tell you how you use them, when, why, and what trade-offs you
have to make in doing so.

colour
different colours have different psychological meanings and in different culture, they
convey different messages. The three primary colours, red, blue and yellow, cannot be
mixed or achieved by combination of any colours, as they exist on their own. Secondary
colours are formed by mixing the three primary colours, for instance, red mixed with
blue results in purple and yellow mixed with red results in orange. Tertiary colours are
created though mixing primary and secondary colours, for example, yellow mixed with
orange results in yellowish orange.
 The Geodesic

JANNEY FOR MIAMI
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. The
hat and the building had the
same harmonic coulors.
2- principles of design

Harmony
According to Alex White, author of The Elements of Graphic Design, to achieve visual
unity is a main goal of graphic design. When all elements are in agreement, a design is
considered unified. No individual part is viewed as more important than the whole design.
A good balance between unity and variety must be established to avoid a chaotic or a
lifeless design
 The Dutch Windwheel designe by
Doepel Strijkers the architectural
capital of the Netherlands , It adds a
unique landmark to the city making
the skyline even more spectacular ,
the hat designed by Zoe Bradley and
they both had the same harmony
effect by the interferences circles .
 An organic shapes are shapes

designs has the concept of
organic harmony .
 The London Aquatics Centre designed by

by the fluid geometry of water in motion,
creating spaces and a surrounding
environment in sympathy with the river

the same concept in the hat harmony
design .
 The Al-Khor Stadium is a proposed
football stadium which will be built
in Al Khor, Qatar in time for the
2022 FIFA World Cup , the sim ,
both designs has the concept of
organic harmony
Unity
created when the principles of analysis are present in a composition and in harmony. Some
images have a complete sense of unity, while some artists deliberately avoid formal unity to
create feelings of tension and anxiety. In this image, the large areas of contrasting textures,
.patterns and colors create a sense of balance and unity within the composition
 The Straw Theatre by Salto

sizes. These are arranged to form a 5, 60 meter high, twisted in itself
pyramid superimposed. The rotation about two axes gives the design
an element of motion that suggests the association of a flame. The hat
