CORONAVIRUS OR COVID-19
Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious
disease caused by newly discovered corona virus.
Most common symptoms are as follows-
 Fever

 Dry cough

 Tiredness

On average it takes 5-6 days from when someone is


infected with the virus for symptoms to show,
however it can take up to 14days.
In INDIA CORONAVIRUS virus cases are
354,161, deaths are 11,921 and recovered 187,552.
MEASURES TAKEN FOR THE LABOUR BY
GOVERNMENT DURING LOCKDOWN
 Migrant people who have moved out to reach their
home states to be kept in the nearest shelter by
respective state government .All employs to make
payment to wages to their workers on the due
date without deduction for the period of lockdown
.Most significant step of the government
mandated lockdown across INDIA,
has been the exodus of migrant workers of wages
to workers for the time they have been unablto
attend work due to implementation of lockdown
related measure.
Wages under MGNREGA to be hiked to Rs.202
from Rs.182, which would mean an additional
Rs.2000 to every worker.
20crore women Jan Dhan accounts holders will
get an exgratia amount of Rs.500 per month for
three months.
Women in 8.3crore poverty line families covered
under ujjwala scheme will get free cylinders for
three months.

GOVERNMENT DURING LOCKDOWN
 To address these adverse times, the government of INDIA
has been preparing strategies and action plants not only for
business continuity and sectoral revival but also to improve
ease of doing business in the country by releasing
notification/amendments/circulars highlighting measures to
improve the business environment in INDIA.
Trade and commerce in INDIA

1-Helpdesk operationalized DGFT for CO


related export or import issue.
2-Advisory or non charging of container
decharges on import and export shipment.
3-Foreign trade policy 2015-2020 extended
year, other immediate relief measures also
announced.
4-Validity of registration cum membership
of members of export promotional councils

THE GOVERNMENT DURING LOCKDOWN

RBI announces several additional measures to


combat the macroeconomic conditions due to
COVID-19. These include:
 1) reduction is reverse repo rate from 4% to
3.75%,
 2) refinancing of financial institutions NABARD,
SIDBI and NHB for a total amount of
Rs.50,000crore.

FOR CORONA FIGHTERS
 Government of INDIA is all taking necessary steps
to ensure that we are prepared well to face the
challenge and threat posted by the growing
pandemic of COVID-19. With support of the people
of INDIA. We have been able to contain the spread
of virus in our country. The most important factor
in preventing the spread of virus locally empower
the citizens with the right information being issued
by Ministry health and family welfare.
 The outbreak of COVID-19 was caused more than
80,813 confirmed cases in all provinces of CHINA
and 21,110cases reported in 93 countries at 7th
March.
India is at critical stage in its fight against COVID-
19 as fears of community transmissions rise. During
this lockdown frontline workers are still going out
to win that doctor described as a “War INDIA can’t
abort to lose.” Experts have warned that INDIA
still has a time to certain what otherwise could be a
catastrophic outbreak, pulling millions of lives at
risks.
