R A computer represents a significant investment, so it is good to know how to take care of it. Computer care involves physically cleaning the interior and exterior of a computer, including the removal of dust and remains from cooling fans, power supplies and other hardware components. Care of the computer 1. Cover your computer when not in use. 2. Use uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to prevent unnecessary power outage/power surge. 3. Keep your computer in a cool and dry place. 4. Close all programs before shutting down the computer. 5. Press the keyboard lightly and gently. 6. Keep magnet away from the computer. 7. Do not remove the parts of a computer when the computer is on. 8. Always call the computer engineer to check any fault. 9. When plugging external devices (such as usbs and cables) into your computer, never force them in. Always plug them in gently to prevent damage to the delicate internal components. 10. Avoid contaminated storage devices to prevent computer virus. 11. Regularly scan the computer with certified, up-to-date, anti- virus/anti-spyware software. 12.
