CHRISTMAS
in Germany

 beginning of christmas history
1. As in almost every country in the world, Germans set up Christmas trees, make the
crib to decorate houses. It is believed that this tradition began in 1530 in Germany
with Martin Luther. One night, while walking through the woods, Luther was struck
by the beauty of the snow-covered pine trees. At Sky stars helped compose the image
Luther reproduced with tree branches in his home. In addition to the stars, cotton, and
other ornaments, he used lighted candles to show his family the beautiful scene he had
witnessed in the forest. This tradition was brought to the American continent by some
Germans, who came to live in America during the colonial period and eventually
spread throughout the world.

germans eat goose, sausage with salad. The delivery of gifts is Christkind's
responsibility - a literal translation would be "Christian child." Martin Luther created
and officialized Christkind as the official gift distributor in the 16th century to replace
St. Nicholas because Protestants do not worship saints. So "Ho Ho Ho" only happens
in very few houses, it goes down the chimney is Saint Nicholas or Christkind and at a
time when all the children are awake. 25th and 26th are holidays.
