Combining spatial enhancement methods

 Fig1 shows the nuclear whole body bone

scan , for detecting bone infection & tumors.
 The narrow dynamic range of the intensity
levels & high noise content make the difficult
to enhance.
 1.use laplacian to highligth fine detail
2. use gradient to enhance prominent edges.
3.use intensity transformation to increase the
dynamic range intensity levels.

 Fig3 consists of noise
,hence reduce noise by
median filter or
alternately use mask
process.
 Fig5 smoothed with a 5

 Fig7 is sharpened image
obtained by sumof fig1
& fig6
 Fig8 is final result
obtained by applying a
power law
transformations.
