Every year we get a fresh batch of Grade 8 students. About 20% of these students come to iTeach Schools with reading
levels as low at 1.5. This means that they can’t even read a Grade 2 text book independently.
These students have 3 years before they need to sit for the Grade 10 State Board Exams with their peers across the city
These students are also at the highest risk of dropping our or failing because of low self belief and confidence

The Bridge Year Program is designed to be a 1 year intervention for 150 students across our 6 schools. The goal is to help
these students develop clearly identified, carefully measured, strong and essential skills so they can be successful in Grade 8

Students will focus on Math, English and Hindi through the year to build strong foundational learning in these key subjects
