This course covers the psychology of crimes from various perspectives. Students will learn about (1) factors that contribute to criminal behavior and victimization from psychological views, (2) theories on personality development and how they relate to criminal patterns, and (3) applying psychological knowledge to prevent, control, and reduce crimes in society. The course will examine topics such as biological and social influences on criminal behavior, psychological disorders, and utilizing theoretical frameworks to design crime prevention strategies.
