Carnot Theorem

It states that all heat engines operating between
the same two temperature limits, none has more
efficiency than a reversible engine.
Problem 10
 An inventor claims to have developed an engine which

receives 1000 kJ of heat at 160oC, it rejects heat at a
temperature of 5oC and delivers 0.12 kWh of mechanical
work. Is this is a valid claim? Justify your answer.

Clausius Inequality

 It states that the cyclic integral of dQ/T for
any possible cycle executed by a system is
always equal to or less than zero and it can
never be greater than zero.
