WASTE MANAGEMENT

Already being scarce, natural resources

going to waste is a double
whammy.  M&M has been introducing a
Zero Waste to Landfill program in its
plants to not only improve the efficiency
in manufacturing processes but also save
physical and financial resources through
energy conservation and reuse of raw
materials.

Energy division
Greenhouse gases are responsible for global
warming and, continuing at the current rate,
have the capacity to cause Earth's surface
temperature to exceed. By continuously
monitoring, controlling and mitigating GHG
emissions, M&M has been consistently
working to reduce this risk. 
 In the reporting year, the businesses together mitigated 11,172 tCO of GHG emissions.

The total specific emissions have gone down by 7% in FD+SD to

0.177 tCO2 in FY 2018-19, compared to 0.190 tCO in FY 2017-18, Scope 3
due to increase in energy efficiency measures and renewable
energy usage. Achieved their Target to reduce specific emissions
with the impetus provided by Carbon Pricing. By continuously monitoring, controlling
and mitigating GHG emissions, they are
consistently working to reduce GHGs.
