Opportunities in Cybersecurity
• System Administration – responsible for system or specific components of a system.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Adhere to enforce policies and procedures.
• Provide technical supports to the users
• Perform regular backups and data recovery as needed.
• Network Engineer – responsible for building, maintaining and protecting networks.
• Analyze design and requirement from different departments, and make appropriate changes to network
topology.
• Operate network services and systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.
• Incident Response and Forensics – responsible for identifying and responding to incidents.
• Follow a standard process to analyze data to determine if an incident occurred, the severity of the incident,
and assess the effectiveness of solutions.
• Use forensic tools to harvest data for civil, administrative and criminal investigations.
• Offensive Security and Penetration Testing – responsible for identifying security gaps and vulnerabilities by
emulating threat actors.
• Perform security analysis against the network of anything from small non-profits to multi-national
corporations
• Use combination of technical and social approaches to find weaknesses in the target organization, then
document the remediation options for those weaknesses
