Definition:
A short crossover joint used between two sizes or specifications of
casing. A circulating swage is an adapter that enables a temporary
circulating line to be rigged to the top of the casing string,
allowing circulation of fluids to help properly locate the casing
string
What is swaging operation?

 Swaging. Swaging is a process that is used to reduce or

increase the diameter of tubes. A swaged piece created by
placing the tube inside a die that applies compressive
force by hammering radially. ... This process is usually
called "rotary swaging" or "radial forging".
How does a swage fitting work?
 “In swaging, a machine pushes a fitting and ferrule
through a fixed split die bed to reduce the OD of the
ferrule, compressing the hose into the stem serrations,
while a crimping machine has any number of segment dies
that close around the ferrule or sleeve and reducing it to a
predetermined OD
