Medical Department
Medical department is established to provide better
service to the employees of the industry.

In TTPL medical department comes under the


authority of personnel department but it is functioning
independently for providing better medical service to
the employees.

The head of the department is a medical officer. Under


him there is one male nurse and four nursing assistant.
Medical Department
Doctors are appointed by the company.

Periodic health checkup are conducted for all the


employees in the company.

Each employee has a medical record book in his


department. The treatment and findings of the doctor
is recorded in it with the date of consultation.

The medicines are supplied by the medical
department and these medicines are purchased by
inviting quotations.

When an accident occurs in the factory premises, first


aid service is provided and if serious the victim is
taken to nearby hospital.

In any industry it is important to protect its property,
assets and people.

In TTPL the security department is headed by


security superintendent and vigilance officer who is
directly reporting to the managing director.

They are followed by security officer , an assistant


security officer, head security guard and other
security guards.
Security

Only by presentation of valid pass or identity cards or


authorization ,materials, vehicles and persons should
be allowed into the organization.

All the movements both check in and check out is


done through the main gate.
Duties
They shall not allow any unauthorized person in and
around their duty place and shall discourage the
employees from gossiping.

They shall strictly monitor the movements of


personnel, materials and vehicles either attached to
the company or connected with company’s business.

To ensure that rules and laws of the company are


obeyed.
Functions.
To protect the personnel and property of the
organization against theft.
To check all incoming and outgoing goods and
vehicles.
To assist the management in case of strikes and labor
problems.
To bring irregularities to the notice of the
management and suggesting remedial measures.
All the movements of the employees and outsiders
through the main gate shall be recorded in the
relevant register.
Functions.
The main gate will be opened at the scheduled
timings or under authorized instructions.

To check whether the workers are smoking inside the


factory premises to avoid fire.

At the close of the working time, inspect the windows


and ventilators and ensure that all the fans, lights etc
are switched off except the security lights.

Vigilance is an integral part of the management
function.

To act as a policeman and detect fraud or any suspicious


activity in the organization and to punish such activity
when takes place, thereby, creating an environment of
mutual trust and fair play in the organization.

The department is a statutory requirement for all public


sector companies.

Actions Taken By Vigilance Department
The cases of fraud charged against a department or
an employee is circulated throughout all departments
which act as a deterrence to malpractices for fear of
being caught.
If the case involves above Rs. 25 lakh, then the case is
handed over to the CBI.
An employee is suspended from service during the
period of trial and if found guilty from the court of
law, then he or she is terminated from service
considering the gravity of the case.
